The WACCA Technical Standards Committee (WTSC) is a standing committee that researches and comments on matters and construction best practices affecting steel stud, structure of exterior walls, Ontario Building Code requirements and other resiliency or technical requirements relating to interior systems or exterior walls.
WTSC will communicate with provincial bodies such as governments and professional practice associations as needs arise affecting members of WACCA and the construction community.

WACCA Charity Golf

The WACCA Golf Committee is renowned in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario region for organizing a top tier charity golf tournament annually. It is not uncommon for the tournament to sell out within 48 hours of announcing the location and date of the event. Charities range from health care to community needs, with the current campaign dedicating 5 years and $500,000.00 proceeds from the tournament to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

WACCA hosts events on a semi-regular basis including our Annual General Meeting, our Holiday Christmas Celebration and our regular Monthly Meetings of Members.
Events, including professional development opportunities form a strong part of WACCA's stated purpose, in promoting best practices, business networking and strengthening the trade work performed by employers and labour in Board area 15 as defined by the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

The Walls and Ceilings Contractors - Ottawa Board of Directors have unanimously agreed to provide the next generation of leaders with a leadership development channel.
WACCA U40 over time will develop its own policies in cooperation with the Board of Directors including events, community giving, industry best practices development, learning and education opportunities and more.
